I took these shots from a Ferry arriving from Sausalito, so no way to use a long exposure or even be really stabilized, those kind of pictures taken from Alcatraz Island should be amazing! An Alcatraz night tour might be the right opportunity.

Some pictures from the last 10 days visiting California with my family, that's the first time they went here and I really enjoyed to be in a such beautiful places with them. We've been to Santa Cruz (it's a good time to see the Monarch at the Natural Bridge State Park), Big Sur, Yosemite and San Francisco of course. They were stunned, so I'm sure they will come back soon...

 

Views of the lake from Tahoe City, just after the sunrise, this is also my first attempt to use my new tripod outside.

I opted for a SB-600, from now on, let's forget the integrated flash of my camera... 

Shoreline is a great place to find inspirations, this allow your mind to wander after a working day, allow distractions and you just have to look up to see the Googleplex and remember that good ideas can actually change the world.
